How to Make Air Fryer Potato Cheese Balls without Breadcrumbs
Potato Cheese Balls are easy to make. You can make them from leftover mashed potatoes or fresh mashed potatoes.
If you are making them from leftover potatoes, make sure they are refrigerated before you start making Potato cheese balls.
Today, I will share a recipe for freshly boiled and mashed potatoes.
First, boil potatoes and mash them using a fork.
You can start by adding butter, salt, and pepper to get the flavor of mashed potatoes.
Add crushed ginger and finely chopped green chilies if you like to add spice to them.
Then add crushed almond or peanut, depending upon your choice.
Then add finely chopped fresh coriander or parsley.
Drizzle a generous amount of lemon juice.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
Once it is combined well, take a small portion of potato mixture in your hand and make a disc out of it.
Then put shredded Mozzarella or cheddar cheese in the potato disc that you have made in your hand.
Take the same amount of potato mixture to cover the cheese and gently make a ball sealing cheese from all around.
Make the rest of the balls.
Now take arrowroot flour in a dish and rub the flour on the Potato Cheese ball, making sure it is covered from all around.
As you coat Potato Cheese balls, place them into a greased Air Fryer basket.
If your brand of Air Fryer comes with a crisper plate or tray, be sure to insert it into the basket. Also, lightly greases the crisper plate with avocado oil spray.
Once the basket or tray is full, Air Fry them for 10-12 minutes at 400°F. Spray them with cooking oil while you are flipping them halfway through.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Potato Cheese Balls without Breadcrumbs
When you add cheese in the middle, you can use a small square piece of pre-cut cheese instead of shredded cheese. Adding a square cheese piece makes it easy to roll the potato mixture into a ball.
You can make Potato Cheese balls in the oven too. Just back them a little longer in the oven.
If you want more crunch to your Potato Cheese Balls, you can coat them in breadcrumbs, cornflake crumbs, or rice cereal crumbs.
You can also dip your potato cheese ball in egg mixture or Aquafaba (if you are vegan) before coating them with breadcrumbs.
