Vegan Air Fryer Breaded Mushroom (Crispy & Delicious)
Vegan Air Fryer breaded mushroom is a delicious side dish or appetizer for a small gathering. It comes out crispy on the outside and tender inside. To make it vegan, I have used plant-based milk, flour, and spice mix and coated them with breadcrumbs to make it crunchy.
Making fried breaded mushrooms in an air fryer requires little oil. It is a healthy and low-calorie side dish or appetizer that you can enjoy with your family.
Air frying breaded mushrooms is also mess-free vs. deep-frying them. I have used Indian spices to add a kick to this breaded mushroom in this recipe. Of course, you can adjust your spice level to your liking, but I love the little kick when you bite into vegan Air Fryer breaded mushroom.
What kind of Mushroom to use for making Vegan breaded mushroom?
I have used white button mushrooms for this recipe because they are smaller than baby Bella mushrooms. But you can use baby Bella mushroom if you prefer. I wanted a uniform bite-sized appetizer, so I picked white button mushrooms.
I also like to wash my mushroom instead of just wipe cleaning them (clean freak alert!). Instead, I quickly run them under the tap water and pat them dry immediately.
Also, make sure that mushrooms are fresh and not slimy from the outside to achieve the best result after air frying.
